Marina di Pietrasanta is a hamlet of Pietrasanta that extends on shoreline; it is subdivided in four localities, than between beach and sea, pine woods and mountains, offer a wonderful and quiet place for vacation.
Marina di Pietrasanta comprises the 4 km of coast between Forte dei Marmi and Lido di Camaiore: a wide and sandy beach that slopes down sweetly in the limpid sea. There are beyond 100 bathing establishments, perfectly equipped, that you reach crossing through magnificent gardens.
The town is risen in an immense pine wood, and today is characterized by elegant villas and hotels dipped in the green; evocative roads, parks for children, stores and pubs. Moreover, the beautiful Parco della Versiliana is worth a visit: it is part of the ancient forest known as Macchia di Marina. In 1886 was built the villa, called La Versiliana, in which stayed also the poet Gabriele D'Annunzio, that today is seat of the activities of the Festival the Versiliana, that every summer draws a lot of people. In summer there are moreover guided tours in the park, in order to let us know the naturalistic characteristics of this flora.
